There is literally an app for EVERYTHING and there are ambitious entrepreneurs waiting to make their mark in the always evolving app industry. Personally I love apps and have hundreds on my phone, mostly for business and photo editing but also I use apps to schedule hair appointments, track my miles and even deposit checks.
Yep apps make our lives easier for sure, however when looking for someone to care for my fur kids do I want to find a dog walker on an app? That's right now there is an app for that....hiring dog walkers. It's called Wag and they are based in California and here is how it works....
I think it's an interesting business idea and I'm sure they are successful and their logo and website are great! So kudos for that, however I can't wrap my head around this idea personally. Why? Well from my experience interviewing applicants, finding qualified people I trust and then going through the training and making sure all our policies and procedures are followed, I can't see how something like using an app would keep your fur kids safe and free from "weirdos or even criminals". Are these people dependable, what if they don't show up? Do they have to follow safety guidelines or sign an confidentiality agreement? Would this idea of having "whoever" show up at your doorstep to walk your dog freak your hound out? My dogs wouldn't go anywhere with a stranger, in fact I'm pretty sure my mini doxies would attack them.
What are your thoughts? An upcoming trend or is the business of the app world going too far?
