Take 10 minutes a day or 10 minutes a few times a week..........
In the beginning of this year I wanted to get behind a cause that involved dogs and our military. Thankfully a friend of mine, Russ Dillon from Dillon's Dog Training, told me about a cause he is working with here locally called JAVELAN (Jack Assisting Veterans Enjoy Life Again). Jack was one of the first dogs trained and placed by Dillon’s Dog Training for a veteran at no charge
JAVELAN's mission is two-fold.
JAVELAN, Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing service dogs to enrich the lives of military veterans, enabling independence and life-changing support.
JAVELAN, Inc. was founded in January, 2017, as a non-profit organization to support the placement and training of service dogs for military veterans. Our primary focus is partnering with trainers so their work in assisting veterans obtain a fully trained service dog may continue.
I love that they look for rescue dogs first so I good dog not only gets a good home but is helping a veteran in need and is given a very important job to do.
If you are looking for a good cause to get behind please look into this wonderful organization.

What Should I Do With My Dogs When I Travel?
Many people with pets have to travel whether it be for business or for pleasure and they are often faced with the tough decision, who will care for their pets?
There are a few choices such as having a friend or family member watch them, taking them to a daycare/boarding facility or hiring a professional pet sitting company like Housebound Hounds.
Not all hounds should stay home, not all hounds should go to a kennel! In addition, not all family members can take care of your dog the way you want your dog to be cared for.
