![]() | Hello, my name is Kayla the owner of Housebound Hounds, LLC. I am originally from Omaha but I have lived in Manhattan, KS, Gulf Breeze, FL and Woodbridge, VA (my husband was in the USAF in the 90's). I have a degree in Biology from Creighton University, but after a few years in the science field decided to start my own dog walking business (which is soooo much better). I am married and have 3 children, 2 dogs and 1 rabbit. My interests are anything my kids are doing, spending time with friends, going to movies and of course WALKING!!! |
![]() | Hi, my name is Julie and I joined Housebound Hounds just recently this fall and I love it! I am also from Omaha, in fact Kayla and I went to Marian High School together! My degree is in Education from UNL and after working for several years in my field of study I stayed at home with our two kids until they were both off to school full time. Now I am a dog walker & pet sitter! I have become quite attached to all the dogs already and really love helping people with their pets each week. I am married to my high school sweetheart, we have two kids and a dog named Levi. I love playing soccer, riding bikes with my husband and staying active with my kids. |
![]() | Hello, we are Dave & Diane and I’m from Omaha and my partner Dave grew up in Pennsylvania. We are both retired. I retired from Council Bluffs Schools in 2010 where I taught middle school language arts. In 1994, I received my master’s degree in school counseling and finished my career as a middle school counselor. I loved working with this level. The children were energetic, unpredictable and fun! I have always loved dogs and have owned dogs all of my adult life. Even though I loved my career in education, at one time I considered becoming a vet and shadowed a vet for a few summers. I also worked part time in a pet store. My other interests are fitness, nutrition and cooking. I would say I am more of an everyday cook than an adventurous cook. I also love to read and I am thrilled I have more time to read since I retired. This past Easter we had to put down our Golden Retriever, Cara. It was very sudden and we miss her very much. No new dog yet, but there will be one in the near future. We really miss the energy of having a dog in the family. So, we are looking forward to being a part of Housebound Hounds. |
